Goodbye MTC, Hello Colorado

Nathan leaves on Monday morning for Colorado. This picture was taken on Saturday night with his cousin, Michelle, who teaches at the MTC.

He's on his way...

Family Fun in Utah

We had a wonderful 10 days in Utah visiting family...and more family. The highlight of course was the birth of Corey James Osborne...pictures coming in his own post! Another highlight was hiking to Timpanogas Cave with Kevin, Karly, grandkids, and cousins.




Fireworks, baby showers, lunches, dinners, birthdays...never a moment to rest! It's always awesome to spend so much time with family!

She did it! She passed the test and she has her driver's license!

Osborne's Hamburger Throw Down

With Nathan in town, we needed some sort of competition...so we had the first Osborne's Hamburger Throw Down. There was no official judging, but we did invite Dorothy and Breanna over just to critique. Each couple made two yummy hamburger creations, one to eat and one to share. We all agreed that they were all so different BUT so YUMMY...it was hard to choose a favorite. Each couple had their own signature ingredient...Kevin: cheddar-horseradish cheese, Matt: served on Texas toast, Taylor: roasted peppers and cheese, Nathan: deep fried patty stuffed with cheese and bacon, Karly: veggie burger patty. A Great Day at the Temple

Nathan went to the temple for the first time on Saturday and it was an absolutely beautiful day. Although Matt, Stephanie, Taylor, and Heather were there as well, we only got a picture of the 3 of us. The scaffolding around the temple is for some repair work that is currently going on.

Nathan's call is here...and he's going to the Colorado Denver North Mission!!!!

She's Officially All Theirs!

What a great day in court in Orange County!!! Ellie Mae is now officially a part of the Osborne family!!! She is one lucky little girl!!!

Karly turns 16!!!

It's hard to believe that the "baby of the family" is 16...and will be getting her license in a few months...and has just a little over 2 years left before she heads off to college! So...we SURPRISED her with a party the night before her birthday...we wanted to really take her by SURPRISE...and it worked!


First we had a YUMMY steak dinner. Unfortunately I couldn't get everyone in one picture...but you get the idea!

The DVD player in the family room wasn't working so we all piled on my bed and watched the DVD of Karly's life. So much fun to see Karly grow-up...and many of her friends, too!

Spring in Michigan

Kevin, Karly, and I had a great trip to Ann Arbor! The highlight, of course, was meeting Kate and playing with Brooklynn (sorry Derek, Janel, Karla, and Jeff!!!) Although the intent was to help Janel adjust to being a mother of 2, I think we just added to the confusion... but it was so much fun! And we even had beautiful spring weather...the snow was almost melted by the time we left. To add to the fun, Aunt Karla and Uncle Jeff drove up from Ohio to spend the weekend. We had an early birthday party for Brooklynn, and also for Derek, Karla, and Karen since we share a birthday. Somehow we missed Janel's birthday which is only a week after Brooklynn's:)

Freezing Rexburg

FINALLY I'm posting about our trip to Rexburg. Kevin and I had a great time visiting Nathan and Taylor & Heather and although it was cold, it was well worth the trip!!! Life for Nathan was exactly as he described it...FINE and the newlyweds are doing great as they approach their one year anniversary. Highlights of our trip included great food, Nathan's basketball game, a fireside with Elder Ballard, double Church, Nathan's Book of Mormon class, bowling, campus tour, and a visit from Alisa, Trent, & Lucy.

It's Karly's Turn

Lately it's been all about Karly...after all...she is an only child now! This Christmas season I taught her how to make toffee...I've been making it for the last 30 years and I decided it was time for her to learn. And, as it turns out, she's a natural!
AND...even more exciting...she got her driver's permit!!! Since Nathan started school at BYU-I she has claimed ownership of the Fit and renamed her "Baby Blue"!
